Mentor Certification
Whether the focus of your mentoring initiative is formal or informal, having good, qualified Mentors is important. Without this, there is no guarantee (1) if the time the mentor and mentee are spending on the partnership is helping the organization achieve its goals; (2) if the mentee is truly obtaining the best developmental opportunities available; and most important (3) if bad habits or misinformation are being passed on.
There is a level of accountability when taking on the role of Mentor. As a mentor one is taking responsibility for the knowledge transfer and development of another individual. Whether that development is career advice, personal advice, skill/competency enhancement, etc., the mentee is depending on obtaining guidance, direction, knowledge and advice from the Mentor who he/she feels is more advanced and/or more knowledgeable in a given area than the mentee.
Cornerstone Consulting's Hi-Impact mentoring® Mentor Certification Program helps your organization optimize its mentoring program by ensuring qualified mentors and generating mentor buy-in, enthusiasm, and dedication.
